Bouldering

Bouldering is a high intensity form of rock climbing without the use of ropes and belay devices. Routes are typically much shorter than roped climbing equivalents and are typically only up to 13 feet high. Bouldering is both a physical and mental challenge, testing your strength, balance, technique and problems solving skills making it an incredibly rounded form of exercise. Bringing these aspects together can be hugely rewarding, especially when done as part of a team.

Climbing

Climbing comes in many forms including traditional, lead, top rope and speed climbing but all involve using a harnessand rope to assend thorugh a series of holds to reach the top of a wall. Like bouldering, climbing makes use of both physical and mental strength to make your way up the wall though routes are typically far longer. The average indoor climbing wall is between 40 and 60 feet tall and so demands a high level of endurance.
